Music Therapy
Music therapy is an evidenced based therapy approach that uses music to actively support people in improving their health, function, and overall well-being.
Being musical isn't a requirement to join or benefit from music therapy. Skilled music therapists create customised musical experiences for their clients, ensuring each session addresses the individual's specific needs and goals.
What is a Registered Music Therapist (RMT)?
A Registered Music Therapist (RMT) is a music therapist who is officially recognised by the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA). To become an RMT, one must successfully complete a certified university course in music therapy and continuously enhance their skills through approved professional development programs sanctioned by the AMTA.
